AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is the captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She was also co-captain of the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020, along with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley in the early years. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. There, she made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was 22 when she was selected to play for the team of the nation in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 and they finished as runner-up. At the 2012 London Olympics, she scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada. She finished 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists as she joined Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and score 20 assists during the same calendar year and making her the sixth the tiniest U.S. player to score 20 goals in one season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was named a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan contributed to helping the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was selected to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In the year 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
